BMW X6 tuning

The X6 is one the finest cars released by BMW in the last few years. The X6 is s a mid-size luxury Sports Activity Coupé that is essentially a combination between and SUV and a coupe.

Hamann, one of the most famous tuning companies out there, has already released an impressive package for the X6. While physically there aren’t many obvious changes, the improved X6 looks more stylish and its performance was considerably upgraded. The factory engine was modified to produce 670 hp and 850 Nm of torque. The engineers at Hamann have added sport catalysts, a mid-pipe with x-venturi, and the standard ECU tuning. The new custom X6 is able to reach speeds of over 300km/h.

AC Schnitzer has also released a new styling and performance package for the new 2009 BMW X6. The AC Schnitzer X6 gets a new front skirt with diagonal intakes and repositioned fog lamps. A huge rear bumper is also added with repositioned exhaust pipes.

Car tuning company LUMMA was one of the first to snag the BMW X6 while it was still fresh out of the oven. The LUMMA tuning package includes a full wide body kit with 5cm fender extensions, front and rear bumper spoilers and side skirts. The car is perched on massive wheels thanks to a 35mm drop courtesy of the lowered sport suspension designed by the tuners. The 4.4 liter turbocharged V8 has a reprogrammed ECU and a stainless sport exhaust to boost power, and LUMMA has also introduced a "gas pedal power module" (GPM) that increases pedal response.

In addition to these major packages, there are several smaller tuning kits available on a do-it-yourself basis.
