Mini Cooper S tuning The Mini Cooper was supposed to be a small, economical and inexpensive car back in the 1960. Obviously, these original plans went down the drain when the Mini proved to be much more than a dwarfed down city car. It didn't take long for the Mini to be buffed up into the Mini Cooper S, the very car that won several Monte Carlo rallies. The Mini became extremely popular both among users and tuning companies. There have been countless tuned Minis released over the decades, some interesting and other complete failures. Brodie Britain Racing is famous for its insanely powerful cars, but in previous years the company has picked larger, more dangerous cars like Lamborghini. BB Racing boasts of having built the fastest Mini on the planet. The Mini was almost completely reengineered. The car’s unremarkable 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine, cooling system and electronics as well as the chassis and the brakes were considerably beefed up. BB Racing took the classic Mini Cooper S engine, took it apart and then they put it together again using the company’s habitual cylinder head with its distinctive large valve and polish. The tuners have also added a new camshaft, high-flow fuel system and injectors and, of course, the turbocharger.
